Flamingo’s Vintage Store

One of my favourite places to visit in Valencia is undoubtedly ‘Flamingo’s’. It’s located in Russafa, an urban and hipster district filled with bars, restaurants and of course vintage stores. I am ashamed to admit how much money I’ve spent in there as it is near impossible to go in without finding a piece you instantly love. I’ve attached a few photos of some of my most recent pieces that I’ve purchased (and even included a picture of me in store). Can’t recommend it enough if you are ever visiting Valencia!

Glass Onion

Glass Onion is a vintage wholesaler that specialise in creating and selling second hand clothes. The company motto reads 'The Brand New Second Hand' giving the impression that although their products are second hand, customers can still expect high quality pieces that look as good as new.

Of course I had to put this to the test. Therefore,  I decided to treat myself to a few new jumpers to keep me warm throughout the Winter months. After spending hours scouring through the Glass Onion website (and adding far too many items to my basket) I narrowed down my options to two items; a navy NFL Denver Broncos sweatshirt and a red Umbro fleece. Both of these items came in a size Large which suited me perfectly as I was personally looking for an oversized fit. However do not fear if you are in need of a tighter fit as the website caters for all sizes. I found this company great in all stages of the purchasing process; I received regular shipping updates and the delivery arrived within 2 days. In addition, the packaging consisted entirely of recyclable materials making the organisation even more eco-friendly.

Now, lets take a closer look at each product individually. We will start with the Denver Broncos sweatshirt. If you have recently been walking down the high street or searching through online clothing websites, you will know that sweatshirts featuring an emblem of an American sports team or University are 'all the rage' right now. I for one have always wanted one of these, so I jumped at the opportunity when I saw this sustainable alternative. In terms of quality, the sweatshirt really is as good as new with no hidden stains or loose threads to be seen. The piece is sure to become a firm favourite in my wardrobe!

Likewise, this retro Umbro jumper also caught my eye. As it was reminiscent of 90's fashion (which has recently made a huge comeback) and with there only being one left in stock, I just had to buy it. Admittedly the fleece was of a lower quality than the sweatshirt but this was explicitly stated on their website by describing the quality as 'good' instead of 'great'.

All in all, I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to become more eco-friendly in their fashion choices. It is a guilt-free process that still allows you to add new and unique clothes to your wardrobe without causing any harm to the environment. What more could you want!

P.S. the company offers a 15% discount with a Student Beans account. An added bonus!

Thanks for reading my Glass Onion review! Here's to becoming eco-trendy.
